Asset Optimization Strategy with Reliability Centered Maintenance
Workshop Overview
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) course starts with the notion of ‘best practice’ and ‘world class’ maintenance performance indicators and how do the estimated. Then it assesses the knowledge about the basics of Maintenance and Reliability of the audience. Role of culture and need for leadership (together with role of vision, mission, strategies, goals & action plans) for creating ‘reliability culture’ in an asset intensive organization is discussed via explaining the concept of ‘asset’ and role of asset management (ISO55000 1&2) in developing ‘reliability culture’. Typical plant case studies to evaluate the extent of reliability culture is presented. Then, the course focuses on understanding the maintenance and different categories. Maintenance work management: planning and scheduling is discussed with the focus on work order prioritization.
To learn methods for materials, parts & inventory management and role of system reliability increase. Then, materials and spare parts inventory management principles focusing on the role of spare parts categorization and spare part inventory management methods as well spare parts management philosophy development is discussed. Then, measuring and designing for reliability and maintainability is discussed. After that operator driven reliability approaches are discussed. Maintenance optimization and core RCM process is explained together with the concept of functional analysis. RCM maintenance strategy and methodology is explained with FMEA and FMECA analysis. Finally, managing RCM performance, workforce management, maintenance analysis and improvement tools are discussed.
