Company Site Representative Capability Enhancement Training
Workshop Overview
The objective of this course is to provide the required management skills and technical know-how for the site representative dealing with highly complex and routine offshore projects. The site representative is a crucial role for offshore assets and facilities whom shall be heavily involved in all project phases ranging from engineering design, onshore and offshore construction/fabrication, site installation and hook up until commissioning and start up. The site representative plays a main role to support and ensure that the desired project deliverables are achieved in every single key milestone along the project execution till successful completion and closeout, finally handed over to the end users within the agreed timeframe. Having good knowledge in understanding the expectations of EPCIC cycles with applications of good engineering practices and troubleshooting skills will mitigate the potential risk of project delay.
Firstly, site representative is expected to liaise with various parties for offshore projects such as regulators, facilities engineering, operation and maintenance, marine and logistic, helibase and onshore supply base, as well as many other counterparts and co-workers especially a huge work forces from the EPCIC contractors. Intensive interactions with all these parties are inevitable therefore the knowledge in project management is utmost important and prioritization of work task sequences, manpower planning, management of equipment and tools, contingency rescue planning are deemed to be the main drivers to achieve the success of delivering the oil and gas minor and major projects, backed by soft skills and leadership skill with strong technical background are also an essential value add.
Secondly, engineering product integrity and assurance of as built packages/system meeting the project specification is extremely important before introduction of hydrocarbon whereby QA/QC is playing an important part mainly for safety reason of the asset as well as personnel. Control the site work by knowing the total quality management principal and the main element for essential non destructive testing are key components in the aspect of product integrity assurance. Overview about the 5 methods of the NDE and how to do a quality assurance will be discussed.
At the end, apply HSE policy for all the construction and engineering activities. The interface management and the way of communication between different contractors and deal with different stakeholders at different levels are so crucial to avoid any lost time injury.
Through the use of case studies, workshops and lecture, participants in this course will gain knowledge in the range of issues, tools and techniques available to better manage the EPCIC offshore projects.
