Workshop Overview
Offshore Installation and Hook-up is the final project phase. The hook-up and commission of the topside facilities occurs after the installation design, fabrication, installation phases are complete. The hook-up and commissioning immediately start when the facilities modules are installed on the support structure, and ends when the working platform is transferred from the project team to the operating team. While project managers attempt to minimize the extent of the costly offshore work, offshore hook-up and commission is a significant part of the whole project accounting for 25% of the total project cost and 25% of the total project duration.
This seminar will introduce a best planning and management practices for hook-up and commissioning used successfully in offshore installations throughout the world. In addition to lectures, video and published case studies will focus the attendees on a number of important areas in hook-up and management aspects that contribute to the successful project completion.
