To achieve enhanced operational efficiency and asset life extension through better industrial practices and new technologies
Workshop Overview
The course has the focus on delivering knowledge on risk based asset integrity management for engineers from all the disciplines (e.g. mechanical, structural, chemical & process, etc.) and managers who have engineering background. The asset integrity in relation to static process equipment (e.g. piping, pipelines and structures) will be discussed in relation to design, operational and technical integrity perspective. The importance of human factor and role of asset performance variability minimization methodologies with relevant case studies will be explained. Risk based analysis principles and development risk matrices with special consideration to probability of failure (PoF) and consequence of failure (CoF) calculations will be presented. Operational efficiency (OE) improvement via lean thinking and use of digitalization & artificial intelligence (AI) will be explained. Role of welding and welding metallurgy focusing on welding quality control will be explained. Also, welding cost optimization in relation to welding methods are explained with example calculations.
Benefits of Attending this Workshop
By attending this course, you will be able to: • UNDERSTAND the need for Safety in relation to offshore facilities and the consequences of failure to carry out effective inspection maintenance and repair • CREATE awareness of topsides equipment, components and systems as functional and operational units – insight into production and processing equipment • OBTAIN a better understanding about how to set up and carry out a risk based inspection maintenance and repair (IMR) program • GAIN insight into inspection and survey data and what to do with the data – remedial recommendations and works • IDENTIFY what ageing assets are and what are the factors influencing ageing – failure of ageing assets and impact on health and safety requirements for offshore facilities • EXPERIENCE the case histories – real life inspection programs and their results
Who Should Attend
This course is applicable to those delegates who currently work or will start to work on offshore facilities inspection and additionally the maintenance and repair of those facilities. The course will be of benefit to QA/QC, piping, integrity, mechanical, static and rotating equipment engineers and technicians, as well as NDT personnel.
